On Saturday we decided to head up to Huber's orchard for a day of fun and food. Myself, my mom, and my great aunt went, along with Madeline and Sarah. These 2 girls are in-separable! They love to play and giggle together and are a joy to be around. We ate a nice lunch at Joe Huber's then headed over to the big Huber farm to pick out a Pumpkin and go to the petting zoo and play areas. Below are pictures from our fun day.

In a world where we stay busy with work and family, there comes a time you stop and thank God you have your friends! In my life I have met many people who have influenced me and been there for me, whether they were from college, people from jobs I have met, from Tennessee, and beyond. I know those true friends that stick by me through good times and bad and are there to listen and understand, not take things so literaly. I found a poem I wanted to post. Thanks to all my friends this year that have cared to "listen" and be there for me. You are the best.
~ FRIENDS ~
As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.
These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.
Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.
This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near.

Below are pictures taken at my grandpas 84th birthday party. I feel very lucky that my daughter has built such a great relationship with her great-grandpa and that he is still here to see my little one grow-up. As a matter of fact, I still also have my grandmother (my mother's mom) at the young age of 95. Amazing what both of them have seen in their lifetime. My grandpa is so good to us and we love to see him weekly. Happy Birthday Great Pop-pop. We love you.

This past weekend we took a trip to Lexington KY were Madeline's cousins, Zachary & Billy, live. We went out for lunch then to a park to play. The park we went to had hiking and walking trails. It was a beautiful day so we decided to take a hike through the trails. The kids had a wonderful time exploring the woods, picking up rocks, sticks, and whatever they could find. We stopped at a huge tree and took a picture. This tree was amazingly big and the kids had a ball taking pictures in front of it. Below are pictures from the day!

My nephew Billy just turned 3 on September 28th! I wanted to wish him a happy birthday. I cannot believe he is 3 years old already. We had a Star Wars birthday party and the kids wore darth vader masks as shown below. For Billy's birthday my brother and sister-in-law took both Billy and Zachary to Disneyworld last week and had an amazing time. They stayed at the Resort and went to all the parks last week.

One of Madeline's friends had a big birthday bash at thier house 2 weekends ago. Abby turned 4 and is pictured on the far right in the pink with the big smile. The girls had a blast playing in the dollhouse, playing outside on the new swingset/gym and jumping in the inflatable in the backyard. These girls are too cute together. After the party, Madeline dozed off quickly in the backseat.

This weekend we headed out to the Bluegrass Balloon Festival. We took chairs and food and headed out to an evening of fun. The weather was perfect and we thought that since the St.X & Trinity game was going on that Friday night wouldn't be as busy. We were wrong. The place was packed, but it was all worth the crowds and traffic. We sat right next to a balloon and watched them all as the inflated. What an amazing sight to see all the balloons glow at once. There were some very cool balloons- like the Deans Cow, the Adam Matthews Stawberry, and the Meijer tree that stood over 12 stories tall. What a fun night. The girls got to jump in the bouncers and the night ended with a fireworks show. Madeline also ran into one of her classmates in her Pre-K class, Abbi, pictured below.
