Favorite Foto Friday #30- Friends with Stuffing!

(Madeline above at 18 months-picture taken with "baby")

This week's theme was an easy one for us. Madeline best friend is her bunny she calls "baby". Baby was given to her from her cousin when she was born. My nephew Zachary has carried the same type lovey ( a lamb) around since he was a baby. When Madeline was born they wanted Madeline to have the same love for hers as Zach did his. Madeline fell in love right away and "baby" has been her constant companion through life. Baby has traveled on a plane to Florida 4 times, been to Disney world 4 times, thousands of naps, bedtimes, playing outside, been stuck in a tree, and also seen the inside of a washing machine. She has had several surgeries to her arms and bow. Madeline's favorite part of baby is her bow. She rubs this like many children do with their lovey's or blankets. The bow is made of satin. I have posted a few pictures through the years. (I have way too many so I posted just a few)

I took this just yesterday!!!

On her first day to school, baby was right by her side every minute...(on the way) see her rubbing her bow...

Little did she know baby was going to be her best friend. There is baby next to Madeline at 1 month old...all clean, pink, and a puffy bow in tack.... Thank goodness for baby. She has calmed and put to sleep my little girl her whole life. I can't imagine her not in the family.
Everyone have a great weekend. I plan on catching up on blogging and posting as it has been a very busy week for me working the Little Treasures Consignment sale here in Louisville plus working my full time job. I am ready to relax and enjoy some weekend time!

Favorite Foto Friday #29- Back to School

This week's theme I am proud to post. Madeline started Kindergarten on Wednesday. Of course I snapped a bunch of pictures before leaving that morning. It was an easy morning. We got to bed early and she woke up very happy and asking lots of questions about what her day was going to be like. I took a lot of pictures leaving and going to school because the school she goes to does not let us "parents" get out of the car and come into school. (Probably a good thing too) Its smart because like someone told me, your not leaving your child, they are leaving you. I got into the carpool which moved quickly, she hoped out, and there she went. "Bye Mommy" she said. As I drove away I looked back and felt my throat start to lump, but never cried. Just happy as can be that I am her mommy!

Madeline walking down the hall of our condo, clinging on to her best buddy, "baby" (her bunny). She asked me if "baby" could ride with her to school....of course

I took a few pictures outside. The first one I took she had "baby" in her hands. I asked her to sit her down for the next picture. She told me she LOVES her uniform....

Madeline after we got into the car to head to school....(7am!)

Well she had a wonderful day and her teacher even told me there were no cry-ers this year in the whole kindergarten of 60 students. There are 3 classes of 20 and where Madeline went to daycare there were 8 girls and 1 boy, who came sometimes... Her new Kindergarten class has 6 girls and 14 boys. As a matter of fact there are 18 girls out of 60 kindergartners. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing:) Anyhow, her day was a whole new experience and when we came home she laid down and took a quick nap.

I am so proud of my new little student and cannot wait to hear about her day again tomorrow.

I have been a bad blogger buddy!

I have been such a bad blog buddy and not had time to comment for 2 weeks now on any ones blog and FFF posts. I am not having as bad of a day as this woman did yesterday (pic below) This was in front of my office. The woman clipped a truck and we assume over-corrected (and was going way too fast) and flipped her car and slid over 200 feet down the road. It was scary because I saw her in the car upside down and she wasn't moving. When the ambulance got here they pulled her out and I saw her move her arm, so I felt good she was alive. Anyhow, it has been crazy. Preparing for school, birthday parties, bridal parties, getting stuff ready for the huge consignment sale (Little Treasures-see link to right) etc....etc....we haven't stopped! I promise to go and view everyone's blog within the next 24 hours!
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Favorite Foto Friday #28- Having a ball!

This week's theme is "having a ball". I guess you can take this theme many different ways. I posted pictures of our family having a "BALL" at my cousin Vallory's wedding on Saturday August 2. We all had a wonderful time and it was just beautiful. Since I posted 8 pictures this week, I will leave it up to the pictures to show us "having a ball"......

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. They are calling for awesome weather here this weekend. Low 80's. It is nice because it is the last weekend before school starts. Thanks for visiting my blog. Also, I am sorry for not posting comments to anyone's blog last week. It was such a busy weekend and I was not able to get back and view any. Thanks for everyone who did view my blog and leave a comment. I look forward to seeing everyone's FFF this week!

Build-a-bear field trip

It has been a very busy week for Madeline & I. Since my post last week for FFF, I have not had a chance to post comments to others pictures or even read the ones I received. Since last week we have had several events from a field trip, my cousins wedding, a bridal shower for my other cousin which I hosted at my home.

We have also been preparing for our first day at a new school by going to bed earlier to get ready for the big change happening August 13th! Which leads me to the pictures I have posted below. Madeline had a field trip to build-a bear with her current daycare and I was able to snap some pictures. These girls have been a fun group. When I say girls, I mean girls! Since the age of 2 when she started at this daycare, there has been 8 girls and 1 boy. The little boy did not attend this summer.....so it was all about girl stuff this summer. I tell her that when she starts at her new school that there will be a lot more boys and she giggles with excitement. I don't know if I should be scared at that reaction LOL. Anyhow, I surprised her at her field trip on my lunch break. She had no idea I was coming and she even cried when I had to leave...I think just from being happy I was there. All the kids had a wonderful time and were able to choose from a variety of bears, cats, etc. Madeline picked one she has wanted for some time, the leopard kitty.

Madeline waiting her turn for stuffing.

The girls...

All stuffed & HAPPY!

I hope everyone has had a great week. We have busy plans again this weekend from heading to the zoo Spongebob party and movie under the stars event Friday evening and also another friend's birthday party. See everyone on Friday when I post my FFF!

Favorite Foto Friday #26- Crazy Hair & Bed Heads

This week I had to dig a bit to find some crazy hair/bed head pictures. I found a few at different ages from the age of 2, until now. The first one below I snapped this week when I found her like this on the couch one evening. Amazing I would think to get this shot this week.

This is Madeline at 2 1/2 years old. We were in Florida and she had just woke up from a nap.

Here she is at 3 1/2 years old... We were up early one morning and had decided to move her room around and she was posing in her new bed position and was very excited about the move. Note the messy hair..

This was about a week ago and we had just got done taking a bath. Ever since she was a baby, I would cuddle her in towels and cover her head and lay her down on the floor or bed making her nice and warm. Even today at the age of 5, it's still something I do and treasure!! When I snapped the picture I added in some stuffed toys..I had to add this to today's post...it was the same evening from the picture below and just to fun!

Madeline's hair all wet after her bath. We have been growing our hair ever since she was born. She has never had a haircut professionally, I have made all trims myself. For the first 2 years she barely had any hair. The hair she does have is thin also, unlike mine that is so darn thick! It took forever (5 years) to grow. I can finally see some length now at age 5 and a lot when it's wet. I just had to get this picture.

Her hair nice and dry and with her beautiful ringlet curls. After I took this picture she looked like such a grown up girl! But she will always be my baby!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Another hot one here in KY. Everyone be sure to stay cool and have some fun before the school year starts up again very soon!
